Of all the comic book movies coming out this summer, I’ve been the least interested in Captain America. No offense to the filmmakers, but the hero seems to be the “one trick pony” of the superhero clutch. He’s patriotic, he’s a soldier, he’s got a shield. I remain open to the idea it could be a good movie, however, and of course some of the cast members (Stanely Tucci, Tommy Lee Jones, Hugo Weaving) are excellent.
This latest trailer is the best yet, and it really gives you a feeling for both who the character is, and what he becomes. The only line in it that seems trite is one about him getting girls. I hope that’s not a sign of how cheesy the rest of the dialog is…But that aside, this is the first trailer that really got me excited.
