This may have been going around the Interwebs for a while, but I just found this letter on the Philip K. Dick website. The letter is what he wrote to Jeff Walker of the production company releasing Blade Runner, one of the most influential science fiction movies ever. He wrote the letter after seeing a segment on the forthcoming movie, and he was incredibly impressed and proud. Tragically, he died before the movie was released. What’s interesting is that his prediction as to the profound affect it would have on science fiction and sci-fi movies was accurate, but not his prediction of the movie’s financial appeal.
