Backed a Kickstarter: Halloween Eve

We just backed a new comics-related Kickstarter: Halloween Eve, a new creator-owned comic by Amy Reader and Brandon Montclare.  If you like graphic storytelling I highly recommend that you do the same.

First of all, the plot looks interesting. Second of all, Amy Reeder is an excellent artist, as she proved on Madam Xanadu and Batwoman among other works. Brandon has also written his share of stuff, having been an editor at Vertigo and written some of the side-stories in Marvel’s Fear Itself event.

But also, as a fan of comics in general, I think we need more successful creator-owned projects. Supporting this Kickstarter is one step in the process of helping to build a vibrant comics world that isn’t simply one superhero title after another. I love my superheroes and DC and Marvel comics, but I think we need Halloween Eve and comics like this. Spread the word and lets help get this project funded!
